SHARON MAYNARD was born in Ashland, Wisconsin and grew up in California. She obtained her bachelors degree from UCLA in 1984, and her law degree in 1992 from Albany Law School in New York. A citizen of Oregon since 1992, she worked over eight years for Metropolitan Public Defender (MPD) handling both felony and misdemeanor criminal matters. Her last year and a half at MPD, Sharon represented allegedly mentally ill persons in civil commitment proceedings, an experience which kindled a strong interest in representing disabled people. In 2001, Sharon changed her practice from criminal to Social Security Disability law focusing her entire practice on representing claimants who have been denied benefits at all stages of the appeals process including Federal Court.
MARY-MARGARET JENKINS was born in Los Angeles, California. Before working in the legal field she was a TV news video editor and producer for broadcast television in San Francisco, Oakland, and Portland. She moved to the legal field after working with Northwest Pilot Project, a local agency that assists senior and disabled with housing and resources. She worked on the relocation of the Roosevelt Hotel, a downtown building that lost its Section 8 housing, causing all the elderly and disabled residents to be relocated. She learned the fine art of interviewing and the more important skill of fighting for the rights of the disabled. She has worked as a paralegal specializing in Social Security disability for 12 years. She loves fighting the Social Security Administration, and is honored to help our clients through the head spinning appeal process. When she’s not on the phone with SSA, she enjoys bike commuting and mountaineering. Mary-Margaret is active in the Mazamas Mountaineering Club as a climb leader.

US District Court of Oregon - won for payment or further proceedings numerous cases whereby the Administrative Law Judge improperly discredited the claimants testimony, the testimony of the claimants family or friends, or the opinions of treating or examining physicians.
