About Ban Law Office P.C.

We practice in the areas of Social Security Disability Law and Public Interest Environmental Law.  We represent citizen’s groups, neighborhood associations, environmental groups, and individuals that seek to protect their communties from intrustive and/or environmental irresponsible projects or developement.  We offer discounted public interest rates because we share your passion for environmental protection.

We can help you with your social security claim throughout the application and appeal process.  We can help you after you have been denied disability, SSI or Veterans benefits, but unlike most others we will even help with your initial application at no charge.  We will not recover any fee unless you win your disability or SSI claim.

We are available to do free lectures or in-house trainings on how the Social Security benefits process works.  This talk can be geared towards people applying for benefits, social workers, your clients, or members of your organization.  Please contact us to schedule an appointment.

Mr. Ban has extensive experience in environmental litigation while working as a staff attorney for WildLaw–one of the country’s leading Non-profit Environmental Law Firms. He has argued a number of cases in Utah Federal District Court and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. While representing the Utah Environmental Congress and High Uintas Preservation Council he successfully reversed the Ashley National Forest’s decision to only monitor the population trends of two indicator species instead of the former list of twelve indicator species. National Forests around the country have consistently amended these lists to avoid their duties to ensure the population viability of keystone species. This victory could set an important precedent in protection of these species.

Mr. Ban was published in the Temple Environmental Law & Technology Journal on NEPA Review of CAFE Standards. 23 Temp. Envtl. L. & Tech. J. 121, NEPA Review of CAFE: An Opportunity Lost, Fall 2004.

Mr. Ban is a member of the state of Utah, Washington state (inactive), and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals Bars.
