Homeless woman with lupus, seizures and arthritic symptoms awarded SSDI

After her unemployment benefits ran out, "Kate" was living with various relatives and friends as she waited for her disability hearing. Despite her history of lupus and uncontrollable seizures, she was initially denied by SSA. At the hearing, she was able to prove her disability through testimony and medical records.
